MIA REOPENING: AFGHANISTAN EXHIBITION Gala
Dr. Julia Gonnella ( Director of MIA) explains "Mia is extremely excited to open its doors with the new interior, with the new storyline we've been working this for many years, the museum will look as beautiful as before but it will have a new message. It will be family friendly it will be visitor friendly it will have a fully new storyline"
Each gallery will have a new application that engages visitors through smelling, touching, hearing, and listening to objects that explore Islamic heritage.
In addition to showcasing the art, Deputy Director Shaikha Al Nasser goes on to say "the whole relaunch project was based on the visitors feedback when we noticed that there is an engagement issue around the galleries we decided to conduct evaluation using different methodologies such as focus groups, observation interviews and surveys."
MIA is in line with one of the main missions of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani which is to engage the children in this journey and to have a common experience along with their families.
MIA reopens its doors with the AFGHANISTAN EXHIBITION Gala.
